“Welcome to Summer 2014” – a useful playground for children and families during International Children’s Day June 1st
As usual, on the occasion of the International Children’s Day, June 1st every year, families from Hanoi take their children to the Vietnamese Women’s Museum (VWM) to take part in different activities such as Jumping with Bibi, Lego Creation, Book Festival, and experiencing in the Discovery Room… It can be said that the selection of VWM as a destination for family entertainment during summer vacation proves the uniqueness and special attractiveness with highly educational characters of the VWM activities targeting children.

With its desire to give children many significant gifts on the International Children’s Day June 1st this year, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum will organize the Program Welcome to Summer 2014. Continuing the success of the organization of the Lego Creation Playground in 2011, the VWM and Viet Tinh Anh Company will once again jointly organize Lego Creation Playground for children aged 3 – 15. Coming to the playground, children will have a chance to make all types o creation, freely assemble many unique and attractive models such as Zoo, Farm, Superman, Police, and Space Ship, etc. and create their own interesting topics. In particular, children can enjoy the unique models assembled by members of the Lego Club.

In addition, children will also have a chance to discover three particularly interesting models: Balancing Needles, Balanced balls, Brahma Tower provided by the Australian Centre for Science and Technology (Questacon). By interacting with these models, children will discover many new interesting things with the message: “I hear I forget, I see I remember, I do I understand”.

With three scientific models to be widely introduced to the public, the VWM wishes that children will have a chance to approach modern discovery sciences, bringing into full play the effectiveness of a new educational method. The activities under the Program Welcome to Summer 2014 will further come closer to the public, particularly promoting the passion for discovery and creation of school-age children at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum.
