The history of Vietnam has recorded many glorious landmarks in national liberation struggles. Every year, the Vietnamese people celebrate their great anniversaries with pride and joy.

For many years now, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum has organized activities and exhibitions on the occasion of these anniversaries. In addition, in its permanent exhibitions, the VWM displays historical landmarks of each revolutionary stage closely associated with the role and position of Vietnamese women. It has kept and introduced to domestic and international visitors many collections of valuable artifacts, significant film footage, and hundreds of historical photos, bringing great experience for the public.

The April 30, 1975 event is resulted from the 1975 Spring Offensive and is an important landmark in Vietnam’s history. It opens up a bright future for Vietnam, bringing the reunification of the two parts, freedom for the nation, and independence for the country. Many photos taken from such important moments are now on display at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum in the section Women in History. They are tears of happiness and joy of each Vietnamese when Saigon was completely liberated 39 years ago and the joy shown by the entire Vietnamese nation over total victory …
