On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2020, we would like to inform the public that the museum will open all time during the Tet holidays from 23 - 29, January (December 29 – January 5 2019 of the lunar calendar). We will meet the needs of both domestic and overseas visitors for the New Year
On the afternoon of December 7th 2019, the opening ceremony of the exhibition ‘Rendezvous between the old and the new’ was organized at the Vietnamese Women's Museum, introducing 20 traditional folk paintings created in a new and unique style by the young artist, Xuan Lam.
The exhibition "Truong Son Pride" has received a lot of affection since its opening from the public, foreign guests and especially the veterans who have spent their youth for the country. The casual and ordinary stories about the lives of the girls in the Truong Son forest not only raised emotions for visitors but also helped us connect with historical witnesses.
The exhibition will be on display at the Vietnamese Women's Museum from April 22 to April 28. Visitors can expect to experience documentary photo series, inspiring short films calling them to action; to learn new skills through varied workshops, and visualise the impact of fashion through interactive installations.
The Việt Nam Women's Museum organized a ceremony to receive materials donated by Nancy Hollander, a member of the American women's delegation that met with women from Việt Nam's two regions in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1965. At that time, lawyer Nancy Hollander was a student and the youngest delegation member. She saved more than 450 documents and artefacts, including letters she received, reports, her notebook, books, articles, magazines, etc., which record this historical landmark in the relationship between American women, the Việt Nam Women's Union (in the North) and the Women's Union for Liberation of South Việt Nam.
