Exhibition “Startup Journey”

The exhibit “Start-up Journey” showcases 15 outstanding Vietnamese women who had the desire to overcome challenging barriers to their start up businesses.  These women found initial success in the fields of childhood education, community tourism, clean food production, vocational training, career chance, and healthcare for the disabled. Their stories of overcoming adversity provide inspirational life lessons for other women who desire a better life for themselves and their children.

The Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) sponsored the 2018 Start Up Day for Women, received 137 submissions and selected 80 projects to exhibit.  VWU selected five outstanding and most creative projects out of the 80 dipslayed.  These five projects applied scientific technology to reduce poverty and protect the environment.

The exhibition hopes to inspire women to become confident, creative and pro-active in establishing start-up businesses. It also raises awareness of the role of women in developing the nation’s economy through start-up businesses.
