“A Time of Fiery Blossoms” – Illuminating the Glorious Pages of History

In a meaningful effort to promote gender education and equality under the Global Citizenship Education (GCED) framework, on May 19, 2025, eighth-grade students from Vinschool Ocean Park Secondary School embarked on an impactful experiential journey at the Vietnam Women’s Museum, participating in the historical education program titled “A Time of Fiery Blossoms.”

The Historical Educational Experience Program “A Time of Fiery Blossoms”

Through dramatized scenes and performances, the program vividly reenacted stories about women during wartime, helping students gain a deeper understanding of the resilience, courage, and indomitable spirit of Vietnamese women – who were not only a strong support at the rear but also brave soldiers on the battlefield.

Students enthusiastically interact with the program

During the program, the students also toured the Vietnam Women’s Museum and explored topics closely related to family life such as marriage, reproductive health, and the role of women in the family. They had the opportunity to approach gender issues not only from a historical perspective but also in contemporary life – thereby forming a more accurate, humane, and practical awareness of gender equality. The students were very excited to answer interactive multiple-choice questions aimed at consolidating knowledge and learning about notable female historical figures. This activity helped them naturally retain information while also developing critical thinking skills and the ability to connect historical information with real-life contexts.

Ngô Bảo Trâm, a student from class 8A3, emotionally shared: “I truly admire the women of wartime. They were very strong and resilient. Thanks to them, our country now enjoys a happy life. Therefore, our generation needs to strive to study well and become the young future generations of the country worthy of the achievements that the previous generation exchanged with blood and tears.”
