OPENING CEREMONY OF THE LACQUER ART EXHIBITION “TOUCHING THE UNTOUCHED”
On March 6, 2026, at the Vietnam Women’s Museum, the lacquer painting exhibition “Touching the Untouched” by young female artist Duong Linh Dan was officially inaugurated, opening up an artistic space rich in emotional depth and visual experience.
The exhibition, co-organized by the Vietnamese Women’s Museum and the art organization 84 SPACE, is one of the museum’s key activities in March, aimed at honoring creativity and amplifying the diverse artistic voices of women.

As a hearing-impaired artist, Duong Linh Dan finds in silence a unique advantage, allowing her to listen more deeply to her inner voice. In the absence of sound, color, light, and the rhythm of materials become her means of perceiving and expressing the world through painting. Through each layer of lacquer, viewers can sense a rich and contemplative emotional life, as well as the subtle depths of the Vietnamese woman’s soul.

The organization of the exhibition “Touching the Untouched” further affirms the role of the Vietnamese Women’s Museum as a creative cultural space, where stories of women are expressed through diverse artistic forms. Beyond preserving and showcasing heritage, the museum serves as a bridge between past and present, creating opportunities for female artists and emerging artistic voices to engage with the public.
Through this exhibition, the Vietnam Women’s Museum aspires to offer visitors a profound and contemplative artistic experience, while inspiring reflections on the inner beauty, vitality, and creative capacity of women in contemporary life.
The exhibition “Touching the Untouched” is open to the public from March 6 to March 16, 2026, at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum (36 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi).
