On the morning, April 12th, the meeting “Accessing the young generation through scientific and educational activities at museums” was held at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum. Participants were H.E Hugh Borrowman, Ambassador of Australia in Vietnam, Professor Graham Durant AM, Director of Questacon of the National Science and Technology Center in Australia, Madam Đặng Thị Bích Liên, Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Toàn, Vice Head of Cultural Heritage and museum preventatives in Vietnam.

Pupils watched “Tuong performance” at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum
More than 1,200 pupils from Nhat Tan and Cat Linh primary schools visited the Vietnam Women's Museum (VWM) on April 4th. The VWM in collaboration with Vietnam Nation Tuong Theatre conducted age-appropriate extracurricular activities that included watching of Tuong performances.
The seminar “Museum as centres for lifelong learning”
On August 28th 2013, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts (SEAMEO SPAFA) in collaboration with SEAMEO Centre for Lifelong Learning (SEAMEO CELLL) and local museums in Hanoi, Vietnam organized the seminar ‘MUSEUMS AS CENTRES FOR LIFELONG LEARNING’. More than 30 participants including museum managers and curators from Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam attended the seminar.
General of Vietnam Tourism Agency visits Vietnamese Women’s Museum
With the aim to engage the Vietnam Tourism Agency and museums, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, General of Vietnam Tourism Agency, visited and had a talk with the Vietnamese Women’s Museum (VWM). Mr. Nguyen Qui Phuong, Head of Travel Department, and Mr. Nguyen The Hung, Head of Vietnam Heritage Department of Ministry of Culture, Sport, and Tourism also participated in the visit.

This is the second time in two consecutive years, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum (VWM) was chosen by the tourists all over the world on TripAdvisor – the world’s largest and most prestigious tourism website. Numbered 11th on TripAdvisor’s list of the most attractive museums in Asia and the messages “A valuable trip – moved stories” are sent to readers by TripAdvisor when talking about the VWM.
Wife of Singaporean President visits the Vietnamese Women’s Museum
In the framework of Singaporean President’s official State visit to Vietnam, on the morning of April 24th, 2012, Madam Mary Tan - Wife of H.E Tony Tan Keng Yam, Singaporean President, took a tour of the Vietnamese Women’s Museum. The Vice President of The Vietnam Women’s Union – Madam. Nguyen Thi Tuyet and the Vietnamese Women’s Museum’s Board of Directors gave the special guests a warm welcome.
