The weekend is always a great time to enjoy art. For the Museum Week theme “Art is Everywhere,” we decided to introduce the image of a smiling woman from the Lolo Hoa ethnic group in Vietnam. She is wearing a traditional costume made with the applique technique, representing the beauty and ingenuity of her people.
This exhibit offers diversified fashion and costume art using traditional techniques of many of the differing 54 ethnic groups here in Vietnam.
This exhibit not only examines the role and participation of Vietnamese women during resistance wars against enemies but also focuses on different aspects of Vietnamese women’s daily life during the wars.
Family is important to the Vietnamese people.
