Indonesian National Army Commander-in-chief’s wife visiting VWM

Ms. TeTTy Agus Suhartono, the wife of the Commander-in-chief of the Indonesian National Army paid a visit to VWM on July 26, 2013.  She spent nearly an hour on learning about Vietnamese women through the exhibit with the following topics: Women in the family; Women in history and Women’s fashion. Ms. TeTTy Agus Suhartono was really moved about the strength and strong will of Vietnamese women in the war of resistance for national defense.

In particular, Ms. TeTTy Agus Suhartono was very enthusiastic when sharing similarities between Vietnamese and Indonesian women on marriage rituals, taboos after childbirth, or batik techniques to create patterns on costumes…

Before leaving, Ms. TeTTy Agus Suhartono expressed sincere thanks to VWM for its warm welcome and congratulated VWM for its achievements, particularly its inclusion in the Top 25 most attractive museums in Asia in 2013 rated by TripAdvisor, one of the biggest world tourist websites. She said: “I hope this is the most fantastic destination for visitors to learn about Vietnamese women…”.
