This is the second time in two consecutive years, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum (VWM) was chosen by the tourists all over the world on TripAdvisor – the world’s largest and most prestigious tourism website. Numbered 11th on TripAdvisor’s list of the most attractive museums in Asia and the messages “A valuable trip – moved stories” are sent to readers by TripAdvisor when talking about the VWM.
The VWM was chosen ranked first among 80 major tourist attractions in Hanoi by TripAdvisor as “the most attractive tourist site in 2012”. And now the museum has been ranked first. To achieve the record, the VWM has been trying its best in the innovation of changing contents, visitors’ services, and images of a gender museum to bring special experiences to visitors.
Some visitors’ feedbacks which showed their objectification and vivid thoughts, as well as feelings, were shared on the TripAdvisor after visiting the VWM as followed:
“Worth visiting, touching stories”
“Women in Vietnam are very great, they do everything that a man shall do, farm work, construction, take part in the war. The most touching part is the stories about “Hero Mother”, I couldn’t help crying when I read one mother lost 10 of her sons and 2 grandsons, that’s too cruel to her. Of course, the war is cruel to many women too. That’s a must-visit place when you are in Hanoi.”
