On the morning of April, 7th 2016, Mrs. In-La-Văn Kẹo-bun-phăn - a member of the Central Committee of Laos and President of Lao Women's Union paid a visit to the Vietnamese Women's Museum (VWM) during her stay in Vietnam for meetings with the Vietnamese Women's Union.
MuseumWeek 2016 ended after 7 days with the active participation of over 3000 museums worldwide. At the end of the event, 149,896 images and video clips across 7 themes - Secrets, People, Architecture, Heritage, Future, Zoom, and Love - had been tweeted, with 518,359 re-tweets.
By 9.00 a.m on March 31, 2016, 3000 museums had joined #MuseumWeek on Twitter. In just over four days, across four designated themes - Secrets, People, Architecture and Heritage - 86,253 tweets and 263,674 retweets had been shared by museums across the world, including images and short video clips.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition "Stories of Resilience: Women living with disasters" was held at the Vietnamese Women's Museum on March 7th 2016. The exhibition is part of a project that focuses on enhancing the capacity of women in disaster risk reduction adaptation. The project is being implemented by the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) with support from UN Women.
40 outstanding drawings from the "Gender Equality: Picture it" Comic and Cartoon Contest are on exhibition at the Vietnamese Women's Museum, between March 1st and March 10th, 2016. The contest was organized by the Embassy of Belgium, the Belgian Development Agency (BTC) in Vietnam and UN Women Vietnam, in cooperation with the Vietnamese Women's Union, with the aim of eliminating sexual violence as well as other forms of violence against women and girls.
After a year of careful preparation, the Vietnamese Women's Museum is ready to launch its new audio guide tour. From February 1st, 2016, visitors will have the chance to try the audio guide for free in 3 different languages: Vietnamese, English and French.
