On Friday morning, instead of going to the school, as usual, 12th graders from Chu Van An Upper Secondary School visited the Vietnamese Women’s Museum. Braving storm and rain, some 200 students arrived at VWM to attend an extra-curriculum session with an aim to improve their knowledge of the history and culture of Vietnamese women.
Vietnamese Women Museum receives “Vietnam top destinations” award
The Vietnamese Women’s Museum was one of five organizations to receive the award “Vietnam Top Attraction”, presented by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism during the Vietnam Tourism Awards (2014) ceremony on July 8th, 2015.
Statement by the Viet Nam Women’s Union in protest against China’s illegal placement of drilling rig in the Vietnamese waters
On 2nd May 2014, China placed its drilling rig Haiyang Shiyou-981 in the continental shelf and exclusive economic zone of Viet Nam, 120 nautical miles from the Vietnamese coast. At the same time, China deployed more than 80 ships, including many military vessels, and aircraft to threaten the law-enforcement forces of Viet Nam.
Vietnamese Women’s Museum receives Madam Nguyen Thi Binh’s artifacts
Madam Nguyễn Thị Bình (nee Nguyễn Châu Sa) was born on May 26th 1927 in Dong Thap Province. She was a talented foreign Minister, a Vietnamese communist leader of the South Vietnamese Women’s Liberation Association who negotiated at the Paris Peace Conference in Paris from 1969 to 1973. She was a Minister of Education (1976-1987), Vice Head of the Central External Relations Department of Party and Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the terms 1992 – 1997 and 1997 – 2002.

Vietnamese Women’s Museum rated again by Tripadvisor best attraction 2014
Vietnamese Women’s Museum was rated by Tripadvisor Website in June 2014 the Top 3 of the 94 best attractions in Hanoi in 2014. So, in three consecutive years (2012, 2013, 2014), the Vietnamese Women’s Museum has maintained this title and is always in the Top 3 of the list of best attractions in Hanoi.
