On the morning of August 20th, the museum received the wives of Infantry Leaders of Asia Pacific who were participating in the 42nd Asia-Pacific Infantry Management Conference, hosted in Vietnam by the Army General Staff of Vietnam and the High Command of Pacific Infantry of America.
“I am very happy when I learn new things. I was especially excited to make ice cream by myself and I ended up really enjoying it. I find this is the most beneficial activity for me during my summer vacation. I want to explore more science topics!” shared Bao Phuc, showing her excitement. The other participants who took part in the “Science Party” of the STEAM Club at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum were also very enthusiastic. Young scientists explored the phenomenon of sublimation of dry ice and applied scientific knowledge to create very funny gas shells. Students collaborated to make ice cream by combining salt and ice and then skillfully shaking it, which ultimately created a delicious ice cream. .
On July 12th, 2018 in the framework of an official visit to Vietnam, a delegation of female Japanese parliamentarians led by Tsuchya Shinako, visited the Vietnamese Women’s Museum. Tsuchya Shinako is a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature) and Head of the Committee for the Development of Women of the Liberal Democratic Party and cities’ representatives in Japan.
The Vietnamese Women’s Museum (VWM) has officially been included as one of 13 famous destinations of the Hanoi City Tour Hop on - Hop off since May 30th 2018. 13 famous destinations are the Cathedral, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, Literature Temple, Vietnamese Women’s Museum, etc. Therefore, visitors have more choices to visit the museum by using a variety of means of transport.
After finishing a hard scholastic year, June presents an exciting summer for the kids. And then, the kids of the STEAM club at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum welcomed the summer vacation with much enjoyment and excitement.
With the special interest of the Vietnamese Women’s Museum in mind, on the morning of June 4 th 2018, Mr. Vo Dien Bien, General Vo Nguyen Giap’s son donated the rice mill of the people in Le Thuy, Quang Binh Province to the museum.
On the morning of May 25th 2018, 33 female veterans, who were female artillery women of the 8/3 female artillery team of Lam Dong Province 50 years ago, visited the Vietnamese Women’s Museum. Standing Vice President of Vietnam Women’s Union, Hoang Thi Ai Nhien and Director of VWM Nguyen Thi Bich Van, member of the VWU’s Presidential Delegates, welcomed all members to the museum.
“My daughter is really excited to take part in this event. She runs out to play the games and in again to play others. It’s been a long time since I have seen my daughter not only playing eagerly, but also gaining such greater knowledge” shared by Nguyen Manh Linh, a parent whose daughter participated in this event “Summer Discovery – Summer STEAM 2018” at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum.
During the annual Sumundae Harmang cultural festival in Jeju Island, Korea, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum cooperated with the Festival Organizers Board to introduce the Worshipping Mother Goddesses – Intangible Cultural Heritage of Vietnam and performed Hau Dong. The Hau Dong delegates came from Mau Thoai Phuc Xa Linh Tu Temple in Long Bien District, Hanoi, Vietnam
On the morning of April 27 th , 2018 the opening ceremony of the Sri Lanka cultural festival was launched at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum.
